A last minute change to our lunch venue (Green Island was the top choice recommendation) and we couldn’t have been happier! First timers here and we absolutely loved the food (see the pictures). Also special mention to the very attentive staff. The owner (Giovanni) came by to chat with us and we even got a first glimpse to the new location two doors down (beautiful design, roomier and more!). We are a bunch of ex-pats from Canada and our first time really exploring the east coast. Very worth the trip. Many gluten-free options on the menu! #GlutenFree Pro tip: check out the Palmar public beach. Underrated but no crowds nor overdeveloped.

Had an incredible lunch here! The variety on the menu is great. I highly recommend the steak and the seafood cocktail which was amazing—the prawns were huge, fresh, and the sauce was perfectly creamy. The steak with peppercorn sauce was also cooked exactly to my liking and came with delicious crispy wedges. Without forgetting the desserts which was fire as well . Consider making a reservation before coming as it's usually packed and reserve the table near the window for a perfect sea view while you eat.

Absolutely fantastic place. Food to die for . Perfect location . Been 3 nights on the run. Staff are amazing. The passion fruit rum is out of this world. Also met the chef who works so hard to produce high quality food.

I rarely, if ever take the time to write a google review, but this meal earned it. Hands down the best meal we had in Mauritius! The fried calamari was perfectly cooked, the seafood platter was fresh and full of flavor, and the banana flambé and pineapple flambé was the perfect sweet finale. The local Flying Dodo beer was cold and refreshing, and the Mauritius punch was dangerously delicious. To top it all off, the staff surprised us with a complimentary shot of house made vanilla rum — smooth, rich, and unforgettable. Incredible food, friendly service, very reasonably priced, and true island vibes all around!

A hidden gem on the coast! We had a fantastic evening at Green Island Beach Restaurant in Trou d'Eau Douce. The food was absolutely delicious — the crispy calamari and lobster were standout dishes, bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. What really elevated the experience was the warm and attentive service. A special shoutout to Nihal, who was simply outstanding — friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel truly welcome. Topped off with a relaxed beachfront vibe and some refreshing local craft beer from Flying Dodo, this was a perfect dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Mauritius!

Great food , super service, we ate the best calamari I've ever eaten , grilled to perfection, melt in mouth! You dont get calamari like this n india!!!! Fish & eggplant curry was 10/10 Must visit

We tried a first time, but was fully booked (many Restaurants are closed on Tuesdays). We booked for a Wednesday it was pretty full. Nice punch, delicious octopus salad, and nice main Mauritius dishes. Very friendly staff, totally recommended.

Unexpectedly very good restaurant. When you look from outside it doesn’t seem like but OMG! Best shrimps we had on the island were here and the food was so fresh and delicious. I would recommend it 100%. Very good prices as well. Staff very attentive but without being overwhelming.
